Hike and High Tea at Level 36

We invite you to a beautiful 7 kms guided hike followed by a luxurious high tea at level 36! Have a high tea with Sydney’s most iconic view! Here we bring to life an atmosphere where you can go on a soulful hike and then indulge!!  A few hours walking and capturing amazing memories of nature and the outdoors followed by laughs and endless chats over a luxurious high tea on Level 36 at the elegant Shangri-La hotel!

Your journey includes glorious views of circular quay, Sydney harbour bridge, Opera house and exploring the heritage and plant diversity of the Royal Botanic Garden. We start at Circular Quay, the hub for most ferry activity on the harbour and perhaps the most visited point in Sydney. We then walk down to the eastern end of the Quay where we follow the water around and shortly see the spans of the Opera House. Next we keep following the water's edge and then enjoy the royal botanical gardens. We then walk through the city and circle back at Circular Quay. After working up an appetite, we head to Shangri-La where we enjoy our special high tea on level 36!

Here it's time to indulge in a decadently delicious high tea with spectacular harbour views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. You’ll savour show-stopping desserts and savoury morsels on three tempting tiers. You can nestle into your seat and watch Sydney harbour glimmer and shimmer!

Shangri-La Sydney Head Pastry Chef, Kumiko Endo, developed a world view of desserts after two decades of experience working with award-winning chefs and restauranteurs. Kumiko begun her pastry career in native Japan, adopting a passion for seasonal produce and the fine art of Japanese cooking techniques and styles. Some of the treats we will savour are cashew mousse, pumpkin tart. schiacciata, fable mushroom open taco, chestnut chocolate mousse, apple tart, sticky date and pear brownie and muscat grape cake! This can make any high tea lover rejoice!

You can expect amazing views, lots of laughs, new friendships and a luxurious high tea experience! This experience will leave you feeling refreshed, inspired, positive, soulful and bellyful!

This hike is graded as Easy. No bushwalking or hiking experience required. We recommend a basic level of fitness.

We also adjust the pace of our hikes depending on group fitness levels and we also take regular breaks to allow rest time and time to click your photos and selfies!
